A retrospective exhibition showing at the Town Hall Gallery Macroom will showcase the talent and diversity of fine art textile practitioners working throughout Ireland today.Macroom, Co. Cork

The exhibition, free to the public, will be on show from Friday 1st August to Saturday 23rd August 2014. The exhibition is open from 10.30am to 5.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

A broader view of the work of Cork Textiles Network may be seen in a fantastic set of professional images which are viewable on a video loop in a purpose built mini-cinema within the gallery space. This set of images gives the viewer a feel for the reach of the Network. Cork Textiles provides a wide range of supports for the textile artist, hobbyist or enthusiast throughout the year. This includes master-classes, skills exchange workshops, childrens’ and adult workshops and the now widely acclaimed Spring Conference which always offers a host of international speakers and workshop presenters during an action packed weekend when Cork city is transformed into a textile enthusiast’s paradise!!
